Welcome to the new and improved Children Ministry website! As we work together as a team and continuously learn from each other, we build each other up to make better changes in our children ministry atmosphere. With a new church building in process, I want to make sure we can prep for it by making small improvements, such as changing the look of our children ministry website, having more effective workshops and guest speakers, creating a space that is safe for the children, and working in unity!

I am thankful for all of you and your dedication in serving the many children in our ministry, creating a strong foundation for their future to become leaders in our society. As you all already know, teaching and serving children are one of the most challenging and patience pulling duties. But with God’s wisdom and strength, we can all work together to make Sunday School the most fun day of each week for all the children.

Children Ministry Team,

This web site is created for you as a reference tool to enhance and help you for a successful year in teaching our children about our God. As most of you know, preparing and teaching a lesson plan can be very time consuming, especially when it’s your first time teaching or you just don’t know where to start. When I first volunteered as a children ministry teacher, I did a lot of researching online for cool and fun arts and crafts, but there were so many websites and so many options! It took me a long time to learn the skills I needed to teach in the Children Ministry Department, but “practicing makes perfect” right?

In 2009, we had a staff meeting and there were some requests for providing a list of resources or having some music and lyrics easily available for our staff and helpers. At first I thought about creating a binder full of resources that we will keep at church, but recently, I thought, “why not create a blog/website so everyone can access this information online?” So three months later, this web site has finally begun its journey to provide a one-stop place for our staff members! As you can see, this is just the initial stage of the process, and this web site will grow quickly and be abundantly filled with resources!

This website will constantly be updated on a weekly basis, so be sure to check our updated status! I wish all of you a wonderful and blessed year in serving on our Children Ministry Team!
